Meg D. Halloran

Margaret “Meg” Donahue Halloran is Of Counsel in the firm's South Carolina office.  She specializes in workers’ compensation matters including issues of coverage, subrogation, and appeals. Meg earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a specialty in equine business management from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, North Carolina.


During her career, Meg has specialized in workers’ compensation with a particular focus on representing employers in claims related to asbestos, chemicals, textiles, and other potentially harmful materials in the workplace with resulting occupational disease claims. She has also defended medical malpractice and civil asbestos and talc exposure claims. Based on her experience, Meg provides her clients with thorough analysis of the medical-legal issues of causation, disability, and liability for past and future medical treatment. She helps her employer and insurance clients develop defensive strategy, assess and value claims, and mitigate the potential risk and loss involved.


Meg is a lifelong Equestrian and an accredited equine appraiser with the American Society of Equine Appraisers. Due to her experience with horses in both personal and professional capacity, Meg has been a presenter on topics of workers’ compensation considerations in the equine industry.
